Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 16, 2026
Techzappi.com (“Techzappi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit or interact with our website, our mobile application (once available), and any other products and services that reference this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through your use of the Services and does not apply to information collected offline or through any other means.
Information We Collect
This section explains, for different situations, what information we may collect directly from you (either on a voluntary basis or through automated means) and what information may be collected (or we may receive) from other sources. Some of this information may be considered “personal information” under various applicable laws. We consider information that identifies you as a specific, identified individual to be personal information (such as your name and e-mail address), as well as additional information, including IP addresses and cookie identifiers, where required by applicable law. If we combine information that we consider to be non-personal with personal information, we will treat the combined information as personal information under this Privacy Policy. Note that we may de-identify personal information so that it is non-personal, such as by aggregating it or transforming it into information that does not identify you. Where collection is mandatory (for example, to send you our newsletter), we may not be able to provide you with the Service you requested if you choose not to provide that information to us.
We, or service providers that assist us in providing, maintaining, and operating the Services, may collect the following types of personal information from you:
Information that you provide. We may collect information that you choose to provide to us, including when you subscribe to our newsletter, register for or log into an account, submit a comment, or contact us. This may include your name, e-mail address, username, password, and any other information you choose to include in a message or comment. We may ask you for information at other times too, such as when you enter a promotion, take a survey, or otherwise provide content to us.
Automated information. Using technologies that are widely used on the Internet, such as cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies (“Cookies”), we may automatically collect information about your computer or mobile device and online activity when you access the Services. Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser that are used to record how you navigate our website on each visit. The information collected by these cookies and similar technologies may include your IP address; unique cookie and device identifiers; browser type and language, operating system, and system settings; country and time zone; previously visited websites; information about your interaction with the Services, such as pages viewed and links clicked; and access times and referring URLs.
Location information. When you use the Services, we may collect general location information separately from other information you provide to us explicitly, such as by using your IP address to estimate your approximate geographic location (e.g., country or region).
Mobile app information. We are developing a Techzappi mobile application. Once available, when you download and use the App we may collect information such as your device type and operating system, a unique device or advertising identifier, mobile network information, general location information (such as that derived from your IP address, or more precise location if you grant permission), crash and diagnostic data, and your interactions with the App (such as articles viewed and push notifications engaged with). If the App requests access to device features such as your camera, photo library, contacts, or precise location, we will only access these where you have granted the relevant permission, which you can withdraw at any time through your device settings. If you download the App through a third-party app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), that app store may also independently collect information about you in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Social networking information. The Services may link to, or allow you to interact with, our social media pages (including Facebook, X, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and Vimeo). If you interact with us through a social media platform, we may have access to certain information from that platform, such as your name, profile information, and any content you share with us, in accordance with the authorization procedures and privacy settings of that platform. If you don’t want a social network to collect information about you or share it with us, please review the privacy policy and settings of the applicable social network before you interact with us through it.
Information from other sources. We may combine information that we collect with information that we obtain from other sources, such as service providers who assist us in operating the Services. For more information about the third parties from which we collect your personal data, please contact us at the contact information below.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information that we collect about you for these purposes:
- to contact you with newsletters, updates, or other information about Techzappi that you have requested or that we believe you may be interested in;
- to manage your account (if any);
- to provide you the Services;
- to post content you submit to us, such as comments;
- to respond to your requests, questions, and comments;
- to personalize content and your experience of the Services;
- to maintain, protect, optimize, or improve our Services and operations;
- to detect, investigate, and prevent activities that may violate our policies or be illegal;
- to perform statistical and analytical assessments of how visitors use the Services;
- to compile aggregate data about traffic and interaction with the Services;
- to identify and prevent fraud and other criminal activity;
- for internal business purposes, such as improving our Services and complying with legal requirements and our own recordkeeping and document retention practices;
- as we believe is necessary to protect our rights and the rights of others, including by enforcing our Terms of Service; and
- as otherwise described to you at the point of collection or pursuant to your consent.
Sharing Your Information
We share non-personal information, such as aggregated statistics and de-identified information, with third parties to the extent permitted by applicable law. Techzappi also shares personal information as provided in this Privacy Policy, including in the following ways:
Service Providers. We partner with third parties to assist with aspects of the Services, such as website hosting, email delivery, and analytics. These third parties may provide services related to any of the purposes described in How We Use Your Information, and we may share with them any of the types of information described in Information We Collect. Some of these third parties may be located outside the United Kingdom or the country in which you reside.
Social Media Services. If you interact with the Services through a social media platform or connect a social media account with the Services, we may disclose certain of your personal information to that platform, depending on your settings. The social media platform’s privacy policy will then apply to their handling of your information.
Other Third Parties. We may disclose your personal information if we believe it is necessary to protect and defend our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of another, including for the purpose of enforcing our Terms of Service, or where the law or a government authority requires it.
Parties to a Business Transaction. We may disclose or transfer your information in connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, or other transaction involving the sale, transfer, or disclosure of all or a portion of our business or assets to another company.
Other Disclosures. We may disclose your information to other third parties when we have your consent or direction to do so.
In addition, if you provide content to the Services, such as by posting a comment on an article, any information that you submit as part of that content will become public and may become accessible through search engines or to other users.
Where we use tools such as reCAPTCHA to help protect forms on the Services from spam and abuse, use of that tool is subject to the relevant provider’s own privacy policy and terms of use.
Advertising and Analytics
We may display advertising on the Services, including through third-party advertising networks, and we may use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to help us understand how visitors use the Services. These third parties may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your online activity in order to serve ads that may be more relevant to you, and to help us understand Services usage. We do not control the practices of these third-party advertising and analytics providers, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
Where required by applicable law, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies (including advertising and analytics cookies) on your device, and we will provide you with a way to manage your cookie preferences on the Services.
Does this Privacy Policy Apply to Third-Party Offerings?
We sometimes partner with, or link to, third parties that operate platforms or offer services that you can use to access or otherwise interact with our content, such as social media platforms. We do not control the privacy practices of these third parties. As a result, when you use these offerings you may be providing information to both us and the third party, and you should review that third party’s privacy policy to understand how it will use any data it collects.
The Services may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of each website that collects your personal data. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Techzappi.
Security
We maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide through the Services against accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure, or use. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure, and you use the Services and transmit information to us at your own risk. If you have any questions about security on the Services, please contact us as provided below.
How Long We Retain Your Information
We keep the personal information we collect for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, taking into account any applicable legal retention requirements or statutes of limitation, or otherwise as required for our legitimate business purposes.
If you consent to receive marketing communications, we will keep the relevant information for as long as we have a legitimate business purpose to retain it, as permitted by law, or until you ask us to stop.
At the end of the applicable retention period, your personal information will be deleted or anonymized so that it can, where relevant, still be used in a non-identifiable way for statistical and analytical purposes.
International Data Transfers
Techzappi is based in the United Kingdom. Your information may be collected, processed, and stored on servers located in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or other countries, including countries that may not have data protection laws equivalent to those in your own jurisdiction. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps designed to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms, in accordance with applicable data protection law. If you have questions about our international data transfers, please contact us as provided below.
Your Choices and Rights
Communications Preferences
You are free to withdraw your consent and opt out of receiving marketing emails and/or newsletters from Techzappi at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any such email, or by emailing us at opt-out@techzappi.com. Please note that it may take a few days to process your request, and that opting out of marketing messages will not affect non-promotional messages we may need to send you, such as responses to your enquiries.
Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications from the Techzappi mobile app, we may send you notifications about news, updates, or other information. You can opt out of receiving push notifications at any time by adjusting your device or App notification settings.
Cookie and Advertising Choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where offered on the Services, through a cookie-preference tool. You can also learn more about, and opt out of, interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance (www.aboutads.info/choices), the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (www.youronlinechoices.eu), or the Network Advertising Initiative (www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp). If you use Google Analytics, you may opt out using Google’s opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Please note that opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will no longer see ads on the Services — it means the ads you see may be less relevant to you. Your access to the Services should not be affected if you decline non-essential cookies.
Your Data Protection Rights
If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have certain rights under UK and EU data protection law (including the UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR) in relation to your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, and subject to certain exemptions, these may include the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of the personal data we hold about you if it is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete;
- request erasure of your personal data, for example where it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or you withdraw your consent;
- object to our processing of your personal data;
- request that we restrict the processing of your personal data;
- request that we transfer your personal data to another organization, where technically feasible; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent to process your personal data.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding to your request, and, if you have authorized a third party to submit a request on your behalf, we may ask them to prove they have your permission to act. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk, or with your local data protection authority if you are located in the EEA.
If you are located outside the United Kingdom or the EEA, you may have similar rights under the laws of your own jurisdiction, and we will honor applicable rights requests to the extent required by law.
Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a visitor under the age of 13, we will delete that information from our records, unless we have a legitimate interest or a legal obligation to retain it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date set forth above. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; any changes will be posted on this page, and, where the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice. Please check this page periodically for updates.
